Saffron Hall is an award-winning concert hall uniquely located on the campus of Saffron Walden County High School. Built with the generous support of the Yellow Car Charitable Trust, Saffron Hall has become a vibrant, pioneering model of community cultural provision and arts education since its opening in November 2013. The Hall is a dual-use space, operating as both the school hall and as a world-class performance space, hosting some of the finest cultural experiences in the country, including both world-class and local soloists, folk and jazz ensembles, orchestras, dance and opera. Our critically acclaimed acoustic attracts world-renowned artists to the stage including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bryn Terfel, Kathryn Tickell, The Sixteen, Britten Sinfonia, The Hallé, Nicola Benedetti and Jess Gillam, to name a few.

Saffron Walden Camera Club is a friendly group of photographers who are enthusiastic about their hobby and who want to share experience in the taking, processing and presentation of photographs. The club currently has around 25 members and caters for all age groups and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced photographers. Meetings are held fortnightly on a Friday evening between 7.30pm and 9.30 pm, from September to July. We have a varied programme of events, including talks/lectures on all aspects of photography, practical evenings and club and inter-club competitions.
In the current 2023-2024 season we are holding most meetings at the Community Link, Market Street, Saffron Walden.

In addition to our outstanding golf course, we have a 140-person capacity clubhouse and bar & catering facility serving freshly cooked homemade food daily and numerous beers and wines. We also have a private function/conference room seating up to 24 people seminar style overlooking the 18th green, in addition to one of the largest private car parks in town.
